Introducing you to the Suzuki Vitara... | Coventry & Leamington | Green 4 Motor Company

Firstly, let me introduce myself, I'm Kirsty, the Digital Marketing Executive at Green 4 Motor Company. In this post I'm going to be giving you all the information you need to know about the Suzuki Vitara, as well as a brief car review from myself.

The Suzuki Vitara is a name that’s been around for many years. So, I'm going to quickly fill you in on the history of the VItara. It was born in 1988, at first it was classed as a Mini SUV, then in 2005 it then became a Compact Crossover. Since 1988 Suzuki have produced four generations of the Vitara! In 2018, Suzuki unveiled a renewed version of the Vitara at the 2018 Paris Motor Show in milestone of it's 30th anniversary.

The 2020 Suzuki Vitara has now been facelifted, with some tweaks inside and out to keep it fresh and competitive against a segment of new and improved offerings. Changes to the 2020 Vitara include a sliding function to the centre console armrest, soft-touch materials on the dashboard, and a new 4.2-inch colour LCD in the instrument binnacle. The exterior has also been slightly facelifted.

When you first see the Suzuki Vitara, you notice it's bold, eye-catching looks. Older models appeared a lot more like a rough-and-ready off-roader, however, the current model has turned into a far more fashionable compact crossover.

The new Suzuki Vitara is a strong SUV that is a break from convention and has been built to excite. With it's dominant stance and muscular looks, it’s the ultimate companion whatever terrain you’re tackling. The front view of the Vitara is definitely one of my favourites, it looks sleek and smart, making it not only a practical, spacious SUV but also stylish!

So, as well as it's head-turning style and sophistication, the current Suzuki Vitara is the ultimate combination of contemporary design and capable performance with 16 or 17-inch alloy wheels ensuring that the model takes to the road with confidence, while the chrome front grille, two-tone paintwork, and standout LED headlights ensures the Vitara makes it's presence felt.

I jumped into the Vitara ready to take it for a spin, first noticing the great front-seat space. Every Vitara comes with height-adjustment so you can tower over traffic even if you’re rather short, like my 5ft 3 self. It's big windows give you a great view out too! It provides exceptional head and legroom for up to five and the boot is spacious enough to fit suitcases for all the family! With the seats down, the load through is flat, resulting in a large space with enough room for bikes.

The simple, uncluttered arrangement of the dashboard is perfect if you're looking for something which doesn't overwhelm you with hundreds of confusing buttons as it enables you to simply focus on the drive ahead without distraction, and the fine materials and premium upholstery mean you can sit back, relax and enjoy the journey.

However, there’s plenty of options for in-car entertainment to ensure your journeys are as enjoyable as possible. If you're anything like me then music is a MUST, whether i'm just making a 2 minute trip to the shop or going on a 3 hour road trip, I've got to have some music playing! So, with such technology as Bluetooth connectivity, a USB socket allowing you to take advantage of Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto, and smartphone linkage display audio, DAB digital radio, and more on higher trim levels, it makes it incredibly quick and easy to get your favourite songs playing instantly.

You can even benefit from satellite navigation and rear parking camera via the Vitara’s colour touchscreen which is a great function of the infotainment system and it's super easy to use.

The Vitara's performance really surprised me! It's smooth, sporty and playful, making it simple and fun to drive. The standard manual gearbox is easy to use and the steering is nice and light which helps make squeezing into tight parking spaces pretty much stress-free (and believe me, i find any type of parking stressful!).

With it's unique ALLGRIP 4-wheel Drive system*, the Vitara can take you wherever you want to go. It's ALLGRIP can truly take control of the road, with the 4-wheel Drive system adapting to varied conditions such as rain, snow or rough terrain. So the only limitation you have when you’re driving the Vitara is your own imagination.

You're in safe hands when you drive a Vitara since it's packed with advanced safety and driver assistance features as standard, including systems to help avoid or reduce damage from collisions, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring and a camera which scans the road ahead for traffic signs.
