Introducing the All-Electric Isuzu D-Max - Power Meets Zero Emissions

Isuzu has officially announced the all-new Isuzu D-Max EV, its first fully electric pick-up truck for the UK market. Set to launch in 2025, this zero-emission commercial vehicle delivers the same rugged capability and reliability that the D-Max is known for - now with the benefits of electric power.

Developed for European markets, the new D-Max EV is built on Isuzu’s proven ladder-frame chassis, ensuring it retains the durability, off-road ability, and practicality that has made it the go-to choice for professionals across industries. What’s different is the heart - a fully electric powertrain offering instant torque, whisper-quiet performance, and a commitment to cleaner driving.

Isuzu know their customers. You don’t just want an EV badge; you need real capability. That’s why the D-Max EV doesn’t just look the part, it plays the part too.

It’s powered by a 66.9kWh battery and dual electric motors pushing out a total of 140kW (that’s 188PS) and 325Nm of torque. That means smooth, instant power delivery whether you’re on a muddy track or motorway. It’ll even do 0-62mph in just over 10 seconds and tops out at 80mph.

But here’s the best part… you still get a 3.5-tonne towing capacity, a payload of over 1,000kg, 600mm wading depth, and proper off-road angles. Because when we say capable, we mean it.

We’ve swapped out the traditional leaf springs at the rear for an all-new De-Dion suspension setup, making the ride quieter, smoother, and better-handling, especially when loaded. And with multi-level regenerative braking and an Eco Mode, the D-Max EV helps stretch every bit of range from its battery up to 263km WLTP (that's 163 miles).

Charging’s easy too! Up to 11kW AC (full charge overnight) or 50kW DC for a quick top-up from 20-80% in about an hour.
