Mazda has officially unveiled the all-new Mazda CX-6e, marking a bold leap forward in the brand’s electrification strategy and expanding its electric vehicle family in the UK and Europe. Following the recent launch of the Mazda6e, the CX-6e brings Mazda’s signature driving dynamics and design philosophy to the growing electric SUV market.
Unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show, the Mazda CX-6e is a striking mid-size electric SUV that builds on Mazda’s acclaimed Kodo – Soul of Motion design language, now reinterpreted for the brand’s EV future. With flowing surfaces, sculptural proportions and a commanding presence, the CX-6e offers expressive styling that stands apart in a competitive and rapidly evolving segment.
Under the skin, the CX-6e is powered by a 78 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, paired with a rear-mounted electric motor producing 258 PS and 290 Nm of torque. This all-electric layout enables a WLTP range of up to 300 miles, making it well suited to both everyday driving and longer journeys. Rapid DC charging capability means drivers can recharge from 10 – 80% in around 24 minutes on compatible chargers, with AC charging supported for convenient home charging.
Inside, the CX-6e showcases a technologically advanced cabin designed for ease of use and engagement. A standout 26-inch central touchscreen provides an immersive smart cockpit experience, paired with a large head-up display that projects essential driving data into the driver’s line of sight. The intelligent interface supports voice recognition and advanced connectivity features, while smartphone integration comes as standard.
Comfort and practicality have also been carefully considered. The cabin offers generous space for occupants, while the luggage area provides 468 litres of boot space - expanding further when the rear seats are folded. A range of interior trim options enhances luxury and personalisation for customers.
Mazda has tuned the CX-6e to deliver the responsive handling and driver focus the brand is known for. Rear-wheel drive dynamics and precise control help keep the driving experience engaging, echoing Mazda’s longstanding commitment to “Jinba Ittai” - the feeling of harmony between car and driver.
Safety and confidence are supported by a suite of advanced driver assistance technologies, including adaptive systems designed to enhance awareness and protect you on every journey.
Mazda has confirmed that the CX-6e will launch in Europe later this year, with UK availability expected towards the end of 2026. Pricing and full UK specifications will be announced closer to the on-sale date. In the meantime, interest in Mazda’s electric future is set to grow as the CX-6e builds on the momentum established by the Mazda6e and Mazda’s wider electrification strategy.
