Subaru UK has officially revealed the 2026 Subaru Solterra – an updated version of its flagship electric SUV, bringing improved performance, faster charging, and enhanced driver technology to the all-wheel-drive EV market.
Retaining Subaru’s core values of safety, practicality, and rugged capability, the new Solterra takes a significant step forward in electrification. The 2026 model builds on its award-winning platform with upgrades designed to make life easier for drivers, whether navigating city streets or venturing off-road.
Designed for UK and European roads, the Solterra still features Subaru’s renowned Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a dual-motor setup for confident performance in all conditions. But what’s new is the improved DC rapid charging ability – now delivering a 10% to 80% top-up in as little as 35 minutes, thanks to upgraded battery thermal management.
Inside, the Solterra offers a clean, spacious layout with modern infotainment and smart driver-assist technologies. New safety updates include advanced driver monitoring systems and enhancements to X-MODE off-road control, including a low-speed Grip Control function for added traction on rough or slippery terrain.
The 2026 Solterra also debuts an all-new Subaru EV lighting signature with redesigned headlamps, a new front bumper design, and newly designed 20-inch and 18-inch wheels. Around the back, a new rear badge, rear gate garnish, and spoiler bring a distinctive night time lighting presence and improve aerodynamic performance.
Set to arrive in the UK in 2026, the new Solterra is more refined, more responsive, and even more aligned with Subaru’s commitment to environmental responsibility and adventure-ready vehicles.
The Solterra will make its way to our Green 4 Motor Company showrooms in Coventry from 2026 and will be available to test drive from then.
