Guide to Mazda3

Engine and Transmission

The Mazda3 is available in 2 different body styles - the sporty Hatchback or the sophisticated Saloon - but both provide the same Mazda renowned driving experience thanks to the crafted, driver centric cabin. The Mazda3 Hatchback is available with 2 engine choices, the 2.0 e-SKYACTIV G, which provides 122ps or the slightly more powerful 2.0 e-SKYACTIV X providing 186ps, with the Saloon body exclusively offered with the SKYACTIV X engine. Both engines are available with either Manual or Automatic transmission and feature mild hybrid technology which involves using a 24 Volt battery to support the engine, helping to improve fuel economy and reduce emissions.

Trim Levels​

SE-L​

​The entry level specification is well equipped with rear parking sensors, Apple Carplay, Mazda Radar Cruise Control, and a range of safety features, such as Blind Spot Monitoring and Intelligent Speed Assist.

SE-L Lux​

​The SE-L Lux adds a reversing camera, heated front seats, smart keyless entry and dual zone climate control.

Sport Lux​

The mid spec Sport Lux adds privacy glass, frameless auto-dimming rear view mirror and a powered sunroof (e-SKYACTIV X models only).

GT Sport ​

​Features black leather seats, heated steering wheel, electrically powered seats and Bose Surround Sound System.

GT Sport Tech

Topping the specification levels, the GT Sport Tech adds 360 degree view monitor, cruising and traffic support, as well as additional safety features like Front Cross Traffic Alert and Rear Smart Braking Support.

Safety​

When it comes to safety, the Mazda3 has a large amount of features, helping the model to be awarded the maximum five-star rating by Euro NCAP. With an outstanding 98% score in the Adult Occupant category, the Mazda3 achieved maximum points for frontal full width impact, and both car and pole side impacts. Mazda’s Smart Brake Support system also gained full marks in low speed tests, with collisions avoided in all scenarios

Interior Highlights

The driver centric cabin offers excellent comfort for everyone inside, even on the longest of journeys. ­ The versatile Mazda Connect Infotainment System allows for seamless connectivity between you and your Mazda. Information is displayed on a central 8.8” screen which is perfectly positioned at eye level. Here, you can access vehicle information and settings, entertainment options including DAB Radio, Bluetooth and Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and the Mazda Navigation system which comes with 5-years free map updates. The Bose Surround System (available on certain trim levels) make you feel immersed in whatever your listening to, thanks to the high quality sound experience.
