The CX-5 is available with a range of different engine types, both petrol and diesel. The most popular choice for Motability customers is the 2.0L 165ps Skyactiv-G petrol engine, available with either manual or automatic transmission - this engine achieves impressive efficiency thanks to the high compression combustion, resulting in excellent fuel economy and low CO₂ emissions. This is also achieved by Mazda's Mild Hybrid System which is standard across all petrol engine choices for the CX-5. Energy is stored within a 24v Lithium-ion Battery and is used to assist the engine and power the car’s electrical systems, meaning you can drive further on a tank of fuel whilst also contributing to lower CO₂ emissions and other particulates.
