Single Speed Transmission Mazda MX-30 features a single speed
transmission. To encourage further driver engagement Mazda has developed its own bespoke motor pedal concept for the Mazda MX-30 and is also equipped with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters which operate the brake regeneration system and further enhances the enjoyment of the driving.

Rotary Engine Technology The Mazda MX-30 R-EV is unlike other PHEVs where the internal combustion engine powers the wheels as it is always driven by the electric motor. The rotary engine is used as an onboard generator to recharge the batteries when they get low, so you drive for longer with that great EV feel.
