What you need to know about the Mazda CX-60 Diesel!

Mazda have confirmed the arrival of the Mazda CX-60 Diesel, set to join the PHEV drive train for the 23 plate.

Released in late 2022, the CX-60 initially was released with an exclusive PHEV drive train, Mazda’s first plug-in hybrid vehicle in the range. Now, a pair of diesel engine options will accompany this model, both featuring a 3.3L six-cylinder engine equipped with the latest e-Skyactiv Diesel technology. With innovative advanced combustion technology, Mazda suggest this makes it "one of the cleanest diesel engines in the world". The e-Skyactiv D engine will be offered with a choice of 2 power outputs – 200ps with RWD, which is exclusively offered on the Exclusive Line trim level, and 254ps with Mazda i-Activ AWD. Both powered engines are paired with 48V mild-hybrid technology which offers low emissions and excellent fuel economy for a refined and exhilarating driving experience.

Silver CX-60

The specification levels of the diesel CX-60 remain unchanged from those first introduced with the PHEV drive train, with the Exclusive Line, Homura and Takumi. Also, there is the option to equip the 3 different packs to further enhance the equipment tally but as standard, the CX-60 is well equipped with heated black leather seats and steering wheel, Wireless Carplay, a large central 12.3” screen perfectly positioned at eye level, Heads-Up Display, Smart Keyless Entry and Reversing Camera. Premium interior and CX-60 design is synonymous throughout both drive trains. The hand crafted, driver-centric cabin features high quality materials, such as white Nappa leather, chrome detailing and real Maple wood, setting it apart from its competitors.

There is an abundance of advanced features to ensure the safety of the driver and their passengers. Some of this technology includes: Driver Monitoring which detects tiredness of the driver to prevent an accident; Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA) assists when cars are approaching from blind spots at the front of the vehicle and alerts them of their presence which is useful when pulling out of a tight junction and the 360 Degree View Monitor provides a see-through view so the driver can see the exterior of the car as if it's transparent, making parking a lot easier.

The e-Skyactiv D powered CX-60 delivers an impressive performance, alongside driver focused handling, impressive comfort and high-quality. Perfect for long distance driving and pulling heavy loads, the high torque delivery gives the CX-60 a 2,500kg trailer weight towing capacity making it an ideal towing companion.
