Everything You Need to Know About The Mazda CX-60

The Mazda CX-60 charging

Engine and Transmission

The Mazda CX-60 is the brand’s first PHEV, fitted with a 17.8kWh* battery which combines with a 2.5 litre four-cylinder petrol engine for a combined output of 327* horsepower and a swift 0-62mph time of 5.8 seconds. All models of the CX-60 feature an 8-speed automatic transmission for smooth and responsive changes between the gears.

However, if charging your car isn't for you, the CX-60 is also offered with a pair of diesel engine options. The 3.3L inline-six engine options offer low emissions and excellent fuel efficiency for a refined, smooth and superior driving experience.  There's a choice of two power outputs: 200ps with rear-wheel drive which provides 450Nm of torque, or 254ps with Mazda i-Activ AWD (all-wheel drive) which provides 550Nm of torque, both feature a new 48v Mazda M Hybrid Boost system. This mild hybrid vehicle technology uses three main components to capture the energy that is normally wasted during braking and stores that energy within the 48v Lithium-ion Battery and uses it to assist the engine and power the car’s electrical systems, meaning you can drive further on a tank of fuel whilst also contributing to lower CO₂ emissions and other particulates.

Electric Technology

The Mazda CX-60 is the brand's most powerful car that they have ever produced. Equipped with a 100kW electric motor and a 355V, 17.8kWh lithium-ion battery, the CX-60 has a range of up to 39 miles in pure electric driving mode, perfect for the average daily commute. However, low CO2 emissions don't have to result in lifestyle changes as you can charge the CX-60 at home or from a public charger from 0-100% in just 4 hours.

Trim Levels and Optional Packs

The CX-60 comes in 3 different trim levels, with 3 optional extra packs (as well as the optional Panoramic Sunroof extra for the Homura and Takumi trim level) which can be added to further enhance the already extensive tally of equipment.

Interior Highlights

The interior of the CX-60 has much to boast about, from the high-quality materials to the driver-centric technologies, making the CX-60 an enjoyable place to be. It’s easy to find a comfortable driving position with the new Mazda Driver Personalisation System fitted on the Homura model upwards. This system uses facial recognition software to recognise the driver and automatically adjusts features like the seat and mirror positions to those optimised for the driver. The large, central 12.3-inch infotainment screen is perfectly positioned and angled to ensure great road visibility whilst projecting its range of features such as Apple Carplay and a 360-degree View Monitor with a “see-through” view of the surroundings.
